Etsy Profit Calculator 2026
A $25 sale is not $25 of profit. After the listing, transaction, and payment processing fees — plus your materials and shipping — a typical $25 item keeps about $13. Enter your real numbers and see exactly what you keep on every order.
Calculate Your Profit Per Order
Leave at 0 if you offer free shipping. Etsy charges its percentage fees on price plus shipping charged.
What the item itself costs you to make or buy, per unit.
Postage plus packaging — mailers, boxes, labels, and inserts.
Only applies when the buyer clicked an Offsite Ad. The fee is capped at $100 per order.

How Etsy Profit Works
Profit is what remains after Etsy takes its fees and you cover your own costs. Etsy percentage fees are charged on the order total — the item price plus any shipping you charge the buyer — not just the item price.
The 2026 Etsy fees in this calculator
| Fee | 2026 rate (US sellers) | Charged on |
|---|---|---|
| Listing fee | $0.20 flat | Per listing, lasts 4 months or until sold |
| Transaction fee | 6.5% | Item price + shipping charged |
| Payment processing fee | 3% + $0.25 | Item price + shipping charged |
| Offsite Ads fee | 12% or 15%, capped at $100 | Item price + shipping charged, only on ad-driven orders |
- Worked example: a $25 item with free shipping, $5 of materials, and $4 of postage and packaging pays $0.20 listing + $1.63 transaction + $1.00 processing = $2.83 in fees. Net profit: $25 − $2.83 − $5 − $4 = $13.17, a 52.7% margin.
- Free shipping is not free: if you charge $0 shipping but pay $6 to ship, that $6 comes straight out of profit. Either price it in or charge for shipping — and remember Etsy fees apply to shipping charged, too.
- Offsite Ads change the math fast: a 15% ad fee on that same $25 order adds $3.75 and cuts profit to $9.42. Shops that rely on ad-driven sales need higher list prices to hold the same margin.
